Showing Shows

Last year I was lucky enough to be asked by local photographer Mark Warr of 'Mark Warr Images' to help/work for him at a few local shows, which was fantastic experience for me as I had never photographed shows before! I was then asked to do a few elsewhere by myself.

Here are a few of my favourite images taken.

52 Week Project - Head Tilt

So, this weeks challenge was to photograph the infamous 'Head Tilt' the cutest look you can possibly get from your dog. I firstly photographed my parents Jack Russell Lola at home and got possibly the cutest photo we have of her to date, and you can definitely see why she gets away with murder, she is just far too cute. I also got to photograph Spud, another Jack Russell with the most awesome ears that stick up at all times!
And because it is one of my all time favourite photos I just had to add this photo of  Scrumpy the Leonberger taken in September 2014.

52 Week Project - B&W

I am officially rubbish and haven't kept up with my 52 week project...
So seeing as we are now in January, I thought I would do my second post now and I WILL keep up with it as best as I can.

So for the black and white, I wasn't overly sure what to do as I rarely process images to black and white once they are taken. So I grabbed the parents Jack Russell, Lola, and took her into the garden and attempted to get some shots. Now any Jack Russell owner will know how difficult it is to keep them still especially young, hyperactive ones like Lola. But I managed to get a couple of shots which I thought I would share!

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer...

Today me and a good friend of mine, Georgie, decided to take the camera out for a bit of Christmas fun and turned her beautiful Shetland x Sally, into a reindeer!

We did have a good giggle with her walking down the road as she did turn quite a few heads, had a couple of people come out of their houses to come and say hi and we got stopped repeatedly so everyone could have a cuddle. She was extremely well behaved and didn't bat an eyelid at the bright red sheet on her back, and reindeer antlers on her head. And I think she took on the role of reindeer very well!

If anybody would be interested in having a Christmas Themed Photoshoot with their equine friends do let me know and get in touch on my facebook page. www.facebook.com/zltphotography It is honestly so much fun!

Toddler/young children Photoshoots

Coming up in the next few weeks I am looking into offering toddler/young children photo shoots.

The shoots would be laid back and fun on location (maybe a beach or park) or in your own home/garden. Really all depending on what would suit you. They would be between one and two hours long and we would speak before hand to discuss what kind of photographs you are wanting to achieve.

If you think this would be something you would be interested in please let me know and get in contact on my page

52 week project

I have been searching for a fun project to do based around pet photography. And I came across the 52 week project which is where you take a photo or series of photos every week. For example being a pet photographer if I was to choose to only take photos of dogs throughout the project I could do, play time, seniors, friends etc. Just something a bit fun and creative!

Typically the 52 week project is started in January so you start at the beginning of the year. But now the idea is in my head I cannot wait to start!!

I will be using both dogs and horses for this, mainly my own, but if anybody would like to be involved at all just give me a message and I can see what we can do! I'm looking forward to it and will no doubt learn something new and quite possibly discover a different way of taking photos throughout.

I have looked at other peoples 52 week projects and written down a weekly challenge to try.

This weeks challenge is DETAILS... So I chose to use Casey my black Lab & my parents jack russell Lola.

I went for taking a couple of photos of my dogs noses.. which trust me was a challenge! These two have their noses into everything BUT my camera lens. Who wants to keep still anyway?! After some persuasion (and possibly a little bit of bribery using treats and toys) I got the shots I wanted, Yay! The two above are my personal favourites.

Autumn

Without a doubt autumn is my favourite time of year. I love wrapping up warm, coming in from the cold and having a hot chocolate and comfort foods and just the whole cosy autumn feel in general.

Autumn is also my favourite time of year for taking photos. The colours of the autumn leaves, and the light is just absolutely gorgeous. Mix that with your adorable pet and it makes for a fantastic photo. Demonstrated rather beautifully so by (with no bias here at all...)  my gorgeous Labrador Casey!

Autumn photoshoot prices start at £40 so while it is so beautiful outside and not completely freezing cold why not book a photoshoot with me? www.facebook.com/zltphotography
